Mail-in repairs
Mail-in jewelry and watch repair, nationwide.
Wherever you are in the United States, the process starts with photos, not a package. You only ship once you've seen a preliminary price and we've agreed with you on how your piece travels and how it's insured.
- Phase 1Before you ship
- Phase 2At our bench
- Phase 3Back to you
Three phases, seven steps.
Every piece follows the same steps, from the first photo to the return package.
Before you ship
Photos, a free preliminary price, and shipping and insurance agreed with you before anything travels.
Step 1: Send photos
Use the estimate form to upload clear photos and describe the problem.
You get a reference number right away (it starts with EST). Keep it handy for any questions.
Step 2: Get a preliminary price
We review the photos and reply with a price range and what the repair involves.
If photos aren't enough to judge the repair, we'll tell you what else we need.
Step 3: Arrange shipping and insurance
We agree on how the piece travels and how it's insured. Only then do we send shipping instructions.
Please don't ship anything before you receive these instructions.
At our bench
Documented on arrival with its own repair ID, inspected, approved by you, then repaired and checked.
Step 4: Arrival and repair ID
Your package is documented when it's opened, and the piece is assigned its own repair ID.
Repair IDs look like JWH-24187. If you send more than one piece, each gets its own.
Step 5: Inspection and final approval
We inspect the piece in hand and confirm the final price. Work starts when you approve it.
If the repair turns out different from what the photos showed, we explain why before asking for approval.
Step 6: Repair and quality check
The work is done at our bench, then checked and documented before it leaves.
If anything changes during the repair, we contact you before going further.
Back to you
Packed with care and shipped back with tracking, or ready for pickup in Los Angeles.
Step 7: Returned with tracking
Your piece ships back to you with a tracking number.
We send the tracking number as soon as the package is handed to the carrier.

Shipping, agreed before anything travels.
You never ship a piece on a guess. Before you send anything, you'll have these from us.
Your preliminary price
A price range and a plain explanation of what the repair involves.
How it will travel
The shipping arrangement for your piece, agreed with you first.
How it's insured
How the piece is insured on its way to us, explained in writing.
Your shipping instructions
Where to send it and how to pack it, with your reference number.
For your piece
Shipping and insurance are arranged for each piece, based on what it is and where it’s coming from. We’ll explain the arrangement in writing before you ship.
Start with photosBefore you ship.
General preparation that protects you and your piece. When we send your shipping instructions, follow those first.
Wait for our instructions
Ship only after we've confirmed the price range, shipping, and insurance with you, and follow the instructions we send.
Photograph it first
Take your own photos of the piece just before packing: front, back, any damage, and any stamps or serial numbers.
Send only what needs repair
Remove extra charms, pouches, and boxes you want to keep, unless we've asked for them.
Include your reference number
Put a note inside with your name and estimate reference number, so the package is matched to your request on arrival.
Pack it so nothing moves
Wrap the piece, place it in a small box, then pad that box inside a sturdy outer box. A shaken box should make no sound.
Keep the outside plain
Don't write “jewelry,” “watch,” or brand names on the box or label. Keep your tracking number until the piece is back with you.
Mail-in questions.
Do I need to ship my piece to get an estimate?
No. The estimate starts with photos. You only ship after you've seen a preliminary price and we've agreed on shipping and insurance.
How is my piece insured while it's shipped?
We agree on shipping and insurance with you for each piece before anything is sent, based on what the piece is and where it's coming from. We'll explain the arrangement in writing before you ship.
What if I don't approve the final price?
You don't have to go ahead. If the final price after inspection isn't right for you, tell us and we'll arrange to return the piece.
Can I send more than one piece?
Yes. Mention every piece in your estimate request. Each one gets its own repair ID when it arrives, so they're tracked separately.
Can I drop off in person instead?
Yes, our bench is in Los Angeles. Request an estimate first and choose drop-off, and we'll arrange a time.
Send photos. Get a price. Decide from there.
The estimate is free and takes a few minutes. You’re under no obligation to go ahead.
