Jewelry repair

Permanent jewelry.

A permanent bracelet or anklet has no clasp. The chain is fitted to you and the ends are welded together, so it stays on. Visit our Los Angeles bench, or ask about options by mail if you're outside LA.

When you might need it.

  • You want a bracelet you never take off
  • You're looking for a matching piece with a friend or partner
  • You've lost bracelets to failed clasps before

What’s involved.

  1. Choosing the chain

You choose the chain style and metal, and we size it to your wrist or ankle.

  2. Welding

The ends are joined with a small, quick weld. Your skin is shielded while it's done.

  3. Removing it later

If you ever need it off, for example for a medical scan, the chain can be cut at the join and re-welded later.

Preliminary pricing.

Your preliminary price range is free and comes from your photos. The final price is confirmed after we inspect the piece in hand, and no work starts until you approve it.

What affects the price

  • The chain style
  • The metal
  • The length
  • Any charm added

Common questions.

Does the welding hurt?

No. The weld is made on the chain, away from your skin, which is shielded.

What if I need to remove it?

It can be cut at the join with small scissors or cutters. Keep the chain and we can re-weld it.

Send photos. Get a price. Decide from there.
