Jewelry repair

Bracelet repair.

Bracelets take knocks against desks and doorframes all day. Links stretch, hinges loosen, and stones in tennis bracelets work loose. We repair the damage and check the rest of the bracelet while it's on the bench.

When you might need it.

  • A link is broken or stretched
  • A tennis bracelet has a loose or missing stone
  • A bangle's hinge is loose or the catch won't close
  • The safety chain has broken

What’s involved.

  1. Links and hinges

Broken links are rejoined or replaced, and hinges are tightened or rebuilt.

  2. Stones

Loose stones are tightened and missing stones replaced and matched.

  3. Closures

Box clasps, catches, and safety chains are repaired or replaced.

Preliminary pricing.

Your preliminary price range is free and comes from your photos. The final price is confirmed after we inspect the piece in hand, and no work starts until you approve it.

What affects the price

  • The type of bracelet
  • How many links, stones, or hinges need work
  • The metal
  • Whether stones need to be supplied

If you’re mailing it in

If a stone has fallen out, don't wear the bracelet before shipping. Send any loose stones or parts with it.

Start with photos. Don’t ship anything until we’ve agreed on shipping and insurance with you.

Common questions.

My tennis bracelet keeps losing stones. Why?

Worn prongs or settings are the usual cause. We check every setting, not only the empty one.

Can you add a safety chain?

On many bracelets, yes. We'll tell you from your photos.
