Engraving.

A name, a date, or a few words make a piece personal. We engrave inside rings, on pendants and ID bracelets, and on watch case backs, and show you the wording and layout before we start.

When you might need it.

  • You want to add a name, date, or message to a gift
  • Old engraving has worn and you'd like it refreshed
  • A new piece or a re-shanked ring needs engraving replaced

What’s involved.

  1. Checking the space

We check how much room the surface allows and whether the metal is thick enough.

  2. Approving the layout

You confirm the exact wording, spelling, and style before anything is engraved.

  3. Engraving

The text or design is engraved and the area is cleaned up.

Preliminary pricing.

Your preliminary price range is free and comes from your photos. The final price is confirmed after we inspect the piece in hand, and no work starts until you approve it.

What affects the price

  • The number of characters or the design
  • The surface: inside a ring, flat, or curved
  • The metal
  • Font or style requested

Common questions.

Can thin rings be engraved inside?

Engraving removes a little metal, so very thin bands may not be suitable. We'll check first.

Can you engrave a watch case back?

Many, yes. Some case backs have markings or coatings that limit what can be done.

Send photos. Get a price. Decide from there.

The estimate is free and takes a few minutes. You’re under no obligation to go ahead.
